Children’s Center in the Courts
About the Children’s Centers in the Courts
The Children’s Centers are designed to support individuals with same-day official court business by providing a safe and welcoming place for their children. Our staff consists of trained early childhood professionals who specialize in creating secure, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environments. Their goal is to ensure comfort and peace of mind for parents while offering meaningful activities for children throughout their stay. This service is completely free!
Located in Erie County Family Court and Buffalo City Court, the Children’s Centers offer a safe, engaging environment where children can learn, play, and explore. Our daily activities promote creativity, social development, and hands-on learning. Children are also offered a light snack during their visit, helping them stay comfortable and supported throughout their time in the center.
The Centers operate year-round, following the court calendar. We welcome children ages 0-12 and strive to make every visit comfortable and engaging. Children may stay for up to three consecutive hours, giving parents the time and peace of mind they need while attending to their court matters. We look forward to providing a safe and supportive space for your family.
